AMTDA membership puts the leadership, credibility and voice of a 500 member-strong organization squarely behind you--industry professionals who share your same challenges and concerns--who know that the delivery of quality product, sales and customer service can be a commitment over many generations.  Distributor Membership Qualifications: - Companies that have been in the business of distributing machine tools for at least one year, and
- Companies who distribute, on an exclusive franchise or sole area distributor basis, machine tools manufactured by at least one machine tool builder.
Marketing Associate Membership Qualifications: - Companies engaged outside North America in the distribution of machine tools for at least three years and represent three U.S. manufacturers on a franchise basis; or
- Companies engaged in the U.S. in the manufacturing of machine tools, components or services that are distributed or made available through AMTDA Distributor Members; or
- Non-U.S. builders headquartered outside the U.S., or with a U.S.-based subsidiary or representative who has marketed through AMTDA Distributor Members for a period of at least three years.

ANNUAL DUES Distributor Members: Annual dues of Distributor members are determined by the level of a company's "gross margin" (total sales less cost of goods sold) on machine tool activities for its latest fiscal or calendar year, and on the number of additional sales territories a company covers outside its headquarters territory in which at least one salesperson maintains a permanent residence.
